This is the complete, updated guide to every World of Warcraft Midnight dungeon: the eight new dungeons, the four legacy dungeons in the Season 1 Mythic+ pool, where to find each one, all of their bosses and best loot, and the full Mythic+ system that drives endgame gearing. Mythic+ Season 1 opened on March 24, 2026, so everything here reflects the live rotation.
The short version: Midnight added eight dungeons across four zones, but only four of them join the Season 1 keystone pool alongside four returning dungeons. The other four are still useful for leveling and early gearing. Heroic and above run on a seasonal rotation, while Normal mode always offers all eight new dungeons.

Season 1 Mythic+ Dungeon Pool
The Season 1 keystone pool is locked to eight dungeons: four from Midnight and four pulled from older expansions. This is the only lineup used for Season 1 keys, so it determines routing, affixes, and rating for the whole season.
Midnight Dungeons | Legacy Dungeons |
|---|---|
Magister's Terrace | Algeth'ar Academy (Dragonflight) |
Maisara Caverns | Seat of the Triumvirate (Legion) |
Nexus-Point Xenas | Skyreach (Warlords of Draenor) |
Windrunner Spire | Pit of Saron (Wrath of the Lich King) |
The other four Midnight dungeons, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, and Murder Row, are not in the Season 1 keystone pool. You can still run them on Normal and Heroic for leveling and early gearing before you commit to keys.
How the Seasonal Rotation Works
Midnight uses a seasonal rotation, the same way recent expansions have. The rules:
- Heroic, Mythic 0, and Mythic+ all use the seasonal rotation; only the eight pool dungeons are available at those difficulties.
- Normal mode is not gated; all eight new Midnight dungeons are always available there.
- Heroic and Mythic have no timer and no affixes, and you can freely change talents and specs inside.
- Mythic 0 has a daily lockout, so each dungeon can be cleared once per day at that difficulty.
- A dungeon outside the rotation cannot be run on Heroic, Mythic 0, or Mythic+, only through specific Normal access.
Where to Find Each Dungeon
The fastest way to travel between keystone dungeons is The Timeways, the Mythic+ portal hub inside Silvermoon City at /way #2393 42.43 58.34. Legacy dungeons can also be reached through the Caverns of Time portal in Silvermoon. Below are the entrances for every Midnight and Season 1 dungeon.

Dungeon Rewards by Difficulty
Dungeons are the main gear source at every difficulty. Normal and Follower runs hand out starter gear, Heroic prepares you for Mythic, and Mythic+ is the endgame engine that also fills your Great Vault each week.
Difficulty | Upgrade Track | Item Level | Great Vault |
|---|---|---|---|
Normal / Follower | Unranked | 210-214 | No |
Heroic (non-seasonal) | Adventurer | 220-230 | No |
Heroic (seasonal) | Veteran | 233-240 | Tier 1-3 |
Mythic 0 | Veteran | 240-243 | Tier 3-4 |
Mythic+ 2-3 | Champion | 246-250 | Tier 5 |
Mythic+ 4-5 | Champion | 253-256 | Tier 6-7 |
Mythic+ 6-9 | Hero | 259-263 | Tier 8-11 |
Mythic+ 10+ | Hero | 266-272 | Max Tier |
The Mythic+ System in Season 1
Mythic+ turns the eight pool dungeons into timed, scaling keystone runs. You start a key by placing it in the Font of Power at the dungeon entrance, which sets the level and the week's affixes. Beating the timer awards the group two pieces of personal loot, raises your Mythic+ rating, and upgrades your key; missing it still completes the run but costs the time bonus and the upgrade.
Keystone Timers
Each dungeon has a fixed base timer. The +2 and +3 columns are the thresholds for earning extra keystone upgrades on a single timed run.
Dungeon | Timer | +2 Upgrade | +3 Upgrade |
|---|---|---|---|
Magister's Terrace | 33:00 | 26:24 | 19:48 |
Maisara Caverns | 33:00 | 26:24 | 19:48 |
Nexus-Point Xenas | 29:30 | 23:36 | 17:42 |
Windrunner Spire | 33:30 | 26:48 | 20:06 |
Algeth'ar Academy | 29:30 | 23:36 | 19:42 |
Pit of Saron | 31:00 | 24:28 | 18:36 |
Seat of the Triumvirate | 34:00 | 27:12 | 20:24 |
Skyreach | 28:00 | 22:36 | 16:42 |
Enemy Scaling
Baked into the system is a percentage health and damage increase applied to every enemy as the key level climbs.
Key Level | Modifier | Key Level | Modifier |
|---|---|---|---|
+2 | +0% | +9 | +72% |
+3 | +14% | +10 | +84% |
+4 | +23% | +11 | +102% |
+5 | +31% | +12 | +122% |
+6 | +40% | +13 | +145% |
+7 | +50% | +14 | +169% |
+8 | +61% | +15 | +196% |
Affixes
Affixes are weekly rules layered on top of the scaling, and they start mattering around Keystone Level 5. The package builds up as you climb:
- +2: Lindormi's Guidance marks priority targets and removes the usual death penalty, so early keys are forgiving while you learn routes.
- +5: Xal'atath's Bargain appears as one of four weekly-rotating variants: Ascendant, Voidbound, Pulsar, or Devour. Each rewards the group for handling its mechanic and punishes ignoring it.
- +7: either Tyrannical (bosses gain 30% health and 15% damage) or Fortified (trash gains 20% health and up to 20% damage), alternating each week.
- +10: both Tyrannical and Fortified are active at once, so there is no longer an easy side of the dungeon.
- +12: Xal'atath's Bargain is replaced by Xal'atath's Guile, which subtracts 15 seconds from the timer for every death.
Resilient Keystones: once you time every Season 1 dungeon at +12 or higher, your key will not drop below 12 after a depleted run. The same rule scales upward, setting the floor to 13, 14, and beyond as you clear the whole pool at those levels.
Great Vault and Crests
Completed keys fill your Great Vault, and you unlock the three dungeon slots by finishing 1, 4, and 8 Mythic+ runs in a week. Tier Set pieces only come from the Great Vault dungeon slots, never the end-of-run chest. The reward track now climbs all the way to +18. Crests are the upgrade currency for your gear: you earn Hero Dawncrest through +6 and Myth Dawncrest from +7 onward.
Key Level | End of Dungeon | Great Vault | Crest | Track |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Mythic 0 | 246 | 256 | - | Champion |
+2 | 250 | 259 | Hero Dawncrest x10 | Champion |
+4 | 253 | 263 | Hero Dawncrest x14 | Champion |
+6 | 259 | 266 | Hero Dawncrest x18 | Hero |
+7 | 259 | 269 | Myth Dawncrest x10 | Hero |
+8 | 263 | 269 | Myth Dawncrest x12 | Hero |
+10 | 266 | 272 | Myth Dawncrest x16 | Myth |
+12 | 269 | 276 | Myth Dawncrest x16 | Myth |
+15 | 272 | 279 | Myth Dawncrest x16 | Myth |
+18 | 276 | 282 | Myth Dawncrest x16 | Myth |
Mounts, Achievements, and Catalyst Rewards
Beyond gear, the season offers rating achievements, mounts, and catalyst rewards. The two seasonal Mythic+ mounts are the headline collectibles.
- Keystone Explorer: time any Mythic+ dungeon.
- Keystone Conqueror: reach 1500 rating, awarding the title "the Umbral".
- Keystone Master: reach 2000 rating, awarding the Calamitous Carrion mount.
- Keystone Hero: reach 2500 rating, awarding the Gleaming Sunmote.
- Keystone Legend: reach 3000 rating, awarding the Convalescent Carrion mount.
- Umbral Hero: finish the season in your region's top 0.1%.
Timing any pool dungeon at +10 also grants its Keystone Hero teleport: Magister's Terrace, Maisara Caverns, Nexus-Point Xenas, Windrunner Spire, Algeth'ar Academy, Pit of Saron, Seat of the Triumvirate, and Skyreach each have their own portal achievement.
Two catalyst rewards tie dungeons into the wider season. Champion of the Dawn grants a bonus Catalyst charge (the Crystallized Dawnlight Manaflux) for reaching 2000+ Mythic+ rating, 1600+ PvP rating, or clearing Midnight Falls on Heroic or Mythic. Light of the Party unlocks enhanced Tier Set visuals (the Gleaming Sunmote) for 2500 Mythic+ rating, Mythic Midnight Falls, or Elite PvP rank.

Leveling and Early Gearing
The four dungeons outside the keystone pool, Murder Row, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, and Den of Nalorakk, are still worth running on Normal and Heroic for leveling and early gearing before the season ramps up. All eight new dungeons are always available on Normal, so you can clear them for the story and starter loot regardless of the rotation.
